Lab View Predictive Model for Optimization of the Cereals Drying Process

چکیده

Optimization of the cereals drying operation requires a model containing the operating variables for dryers. Modeling of grain dryer is still uncertain since the drying process is unpredictable and relies on empirical parameters. The paper present the main mathematical models proposed in the last years for describing the drying phenomena. The main objective is to develop a model that would describe the moisture content of a grain layer as function of operating variables and use it for optimization. It this direction it is proposed a predictive model developed in LABVIEW programming environment that allow to predict the drying curve using different operating variables (temperature, air flow). The model solve the differential equation that describe the drying phenomena’s using Runge Kutta method and plot the evolution of humidity in time, during the drying process. These kinds of simulations are useful in designing of a model predictive controller (MDC).
